Ingredients

  • 375 g wheat flour
  • 1 pack dry yeast with baking powder (yeast dough guarantor)
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 180 ml milk, low-fat (for the dough)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 60 g mararine (semi-fat mararine)
  • 2 ½ kg apples, tart, peeled and cut into thick wedges
  • 500 ml milk, low-fat (for the pudding)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar (for sprinkling after baking)
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • 1 packet custard powder, vanilla flavor

Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast dough Garant well with the flour. Then add sugar, 180 ml milk, salt and semi-fat margarine to the flour mixture. The milk and fat do not need to be heated. Knead everything well to form a smooth dough, if necessary add a little flour so that the dough loosens from the bowl and does not stick. The dough doesn`t have to rise! Immediately roll out the dough thinly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper so that the entire baking sheet is filled with it. Let rest covered for only 15 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, boil the vanilla pudding with the 500 ml milk, add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, stir and let cool a little while stirring occasionally. No skin should form. Cover the rolled out dough with the peeled apple wedges very densely and distribute the not too hot pudding evenly on top. The apple wedges should not be cut too thin and the dough should be covered thickly! Finally, beat the 2 egg whites until stiff and spread them on the pudding.
  3. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius until it is golden yellow. When it has cooled down a bit, sprinkle the vanilla sugar mixed with the cinnamon over it.
  4. Of course, you can also use plums or other fruit as you like. The cake is quick to prepare because no walking time is required!
  5. For players: 16 servings = 2.4 Püntjes; 12 servings of 3.3 Püntjes per serving!
