Instructions

  1. Slice the red cabbage, put all the ingredients in a large saucepan, bring to the boil. After boiling, turn off the stove and let the red cabbage steep for another 30-50 minutes.
  2. Pour into twist-off glasses while still hot and screw on tightly. The red cabbage can be eaten straight from the glass or served as a salad. Both tastes very tasty.
  3. If you want to cook the red cabbage, proceed as usual: sweat the onion with fat until translucent, add the red cabbage, cut 1 apple into small pieces and add a bay leaf. The red cabbage is done in about 1/2 hour.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
