Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 3 egg (s), separated
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with the salt until they are very stiff.
  2. Put aside for a moment.
  3. Beat the softened butter with the sugar until frothy and gradually add the egg yolks and vanilla sugar. Beat everything on the highest level for about 3 minutes.
  4. Now add milk and beat briefly.
  5. Sift the flour over the mixture and stir again briefly. (Please do not beat here, it is best to stir the mixture with a spoon)
  6. Finally, carefully fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
  7. Place a cloth on the bowl and let the dough rest for 20 minutes to allow the flour to thicken.
  8. Brush the heated waffle iron with a little oil and pour in some of the batter.
  9. After about 2 minutes of baking time (depending on the device), carefully remove the waffles.
  10. Brush the waffle iron again with oil and pour in some of the batter again.
  11. Sprinkle the finished waffles with sugar and cinnamon as desired or serve with applesauce.
