Instructions

  1. Cut the carrots and potatoes into small pieces and place in a saucepan. Add a little granular stock and sugar, cover with just a little water and cook the vegetables until soft.
  2. In the meantime, fry the bacon and onion in a little butter. When the potatoes and carrots are done, pour the stock into a bowl. Then add the bacon and onions to the potatoes and carrots and mash them together. Add the brew until the mash has the desired consistency. Season with granular broth and / or sugar, it depends on whether you like it sweeter or salty.
  3. Now fry the meatballs or the bratwurst and enjoy with it. The children and I love to have applesauce with it.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
