Rice Porridge with Boiled Eggs

A budget dish of the most affordable products is rice porridge with fried onions and boiled eggs. Cooking such unsweetened rice porridge is extremely easy and will not take much time. Delicious and simple food that will be equally good as a side dish and as an independent dish for a hearty lunch, breakfast, or dinner.

Ingredients

  • Rice – 100 g
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc. (100 g)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Butter (for frying) – 50 g

Directions

  1. Prepare food. The butter in which the onions are fried can be replaced with vegetable oil.
  2. Place the eggs in cold water and boil them hard (about 7-8 minutes after boiling). Then put the boiled eggs in cold water and leave to cool.
  3. Rinse the rice, send it to a saucepan and pour 200 ml of water (the ratio of rice to water is 1: 2). Put on heat, cover, and cook over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes after boiling, until rice is fully cooked.
  4. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  5. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped onion.
  6. Fry over medium heat until golden brown, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Peel the boiled eggs and cut into medium pieces.
  8. Add chopped eggs to the finished rice porridge and mix gently.
  9. Add fried onions, salt, and pepper. Stir again.
  10. Appetizing rice porridge in water, complemented by fried onions and boiled eggs is ready.
