The traditional Turkish dessert “Syutlach” is a milk-rice pudding with a delicious baked crust.

Ingredients
Rice (round grain) – 3 tbsp
Milk – 500 ml
Water – 150 ml
Yolk – 1 pc.
Butter – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Starch – 2 tbsp
Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
Salt – 1 pinch
Directions
Pour rice with water and boil until tender.
In a separate bowl, mix together 400 ml of milk, egg yolk, sugar, salt and vanilla sugar. Add to boiled rice, mix well and continue to cook over low heat.
Pour starch with 100 ml of milk and mix well. Add to the milk-rice mixture. While constantly stirring, bring to a boil over medium heat.
Pour the pudding into portioned (ceramic) forms, put them on a baking sheet. Pour hot water into the bottom of the baking sheet to create the effect of a steam bath.
We bake the milk-rice pudding in the oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
