Ingredients
Pork (shoulder) – 600 g
Bulgarian pepper (red and yellow) – 400 g (2 pcs.)
We wash the pork, dry it with a napkin and cut it into small pieces of approximately 2.5 cm.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the meat, stirring, over high heat for about 15 minutes, until browned.
Peel the onions, rinse and cut into thin feathers. Cut the sweet pepper into two parts lengthwise, peel off the seeds and stalks and cut into thin strips.
Peel the garlic and cut it into thin slices.
Then add bell peppers, onions, and garlic to the meat.
Fry everything together over low heat for about 10 minutes, until vegetables are semi-soft. Then add salt and ground pepper, mix. If the pork is already tender, fry for another 5-7 minutes. We remove the pan from the heat – the dish is ready.
If the meat is tough (depending on the type and age of the pork), add 100-200 ml of water to the pan.
Cover the frying pan with a lid and simmer the meat for another 15-20 minutes over low heat, until soft.
Then remove the lid and, if there is the excess liquid left, increase the heat and fry the meat for 3-5 minutes (until all the liquid has evaporated).
