Rolls With Salmon, Cheese and Cucumber

Previously, I always gladly ordered such rolls in one of our Japanese establishments. And recently I decided to try to make them myself. I’m not sure if the ingredients I used are exactly the ones used in the restaurant, but the taste is similar. Rolls are prepared very quickly, so I recommend it to everyone!

Ingredients

  • Redfish (salted) – 100 grams
  • Hard cheese – 100 grams
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Rice (I had long grain) – 150 grams
  • Nori (pressed algae sheets) – 3 pcs.
  • Vinegar (rice or apple, grape, wine, etc.) – 3 tablespoon.
  • Wasabi sauce – to taste
  • Lemon – 1 pc.
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – a pinch
  • Besides:
  • Sushi mat

Directions

  1. Wash the rice under running water. Put it in a saucepan, add salt, sugar, vinegar, cover with water and cook until tender. Then let the rice cool.
    In order to preserve the structure of the grains, do not stir the rice in any case.
  2. Cut the red fish, cucumber, cheese into thin strips.
  3. If you have powdered wasabi sauce, mix it with water in a 1: 1 ratio. If ready, then do nothing.
  4. Wrap the sushi mat with cling film so as not to get dirty.
  5. Place one sheet of nori on the mat.
  6. Put the rice on top in a thin layer, leaving an empty space at the top, which you moisten with water so that the roll is kept wrapped.
    Apply a thin strip of wasabi sauce to the rice.
  7. Top with red fish, cucumber and cheese.
  8. Wrap the roll in a roll.
  9. Cut it into 5 pieces and place on a plate.
  10. I serve rolls with sauce. To prepare it, pour soy sauce into a bowl, squeeze out the lemon juice and stir.
