Salmon Baked with Bagels

This is a very interesting and tasty dish based on bagels and smoked salmon.

Ingredients

  • Fresh bagels (cut into small cubes) – 8 glasses
  • Smoked salmon in slices (sliced) – 90 g
  • Hard cheese like Monterey Jack (shredded on a grater) – 2 cups (240 g)
  • Eggs (slightly beaten) – 8 pcs.
  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Soft goat cheese (crumbled) – 1 glass
  • Butter (melted) – 50 g
  • Fresh chives (chopped) – 1/4 cup
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. Pour the melted butter into a 3-liter ovenproof dish and spread well over the entire surface. Pour the chopped bagels into an oiled dish, top with salmon, sprinkle with cheese and onions.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, goat cheese, and black pepper. Fill the contents of the form with this mass. Using a spoon, lightly press down the contents of the form so that it sinks in the milk, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Place the mold with the cooled piece in a preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
