Ingredients

  • 1 apple, sour
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 point sauerkraut (approx. 550 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable stock, clear
  • 4 port. Potatoes (mashed potatoes)
  • 125 g herb butter
  • 150 g sausae (Kabanossi)
  • 200 g cheese, rated
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • water

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apple and cut into small cubes. Peel and roughly chop the onion. Put the sauerkraut and 100 ml of water in a saucepan and sprinkle with the vegetable stock. Then add the apples and onions and heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. In the meantime, cut the kabanossi into slices. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (gas mark 3). Fold the soft herb butter and cheese into the mashed potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Put the sauerkraut with the kabanossi in a baking dish and pour the mashed potatoes over the top. Put the casserole in the oven for about 10 minutes and shortly before the end raise the temperature a little so that the potato dome browns a little.
