For the preparation of this hodgepodge, the same meat products are used as for the hodgepodge of the national team. But boiled potatoes, cut into wedges, are added. Thanks to this, the homemade hodgepodge turns out to be more satisfying.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 2-3 pcs. (taste)
  • Meat (chicken thigh) – 500 g
  • Sausage, sausages, etc. – 150 g
  • Boiled or smoked pork – 150 g
  • Pickled cucumbers – 4 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
  • Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp

For filing:

  • Sour cream – 100 g
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs. (taste)
  • Olives (or capers) – 20 pcs. (taste)
  • Greens – 0.5 bunch (to taste)

Directions

  1. Prepare the food you need.
  2. Cook the broth from chicken meat. To do this, wash the meat, cover with cold water, bring to a boil. Remove foam with a slotted spoon. Boil the meat over low heat, covered for 1 hour. Remove the cooked meat from the broth and leave to cool.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, peel, wash and slice the potatoes.
  4. Put the potatoes in a saucepan, cover with water and cook for 10-15 minutes, until tender.
  5. Drain the finished potatoes.
  6. Peel, wash, chop onions.
  7. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Place the onion in hot oil.
  8. Fry the onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Then add tomato paste and a little broth, stir and simmer for 1 minute over low heat.
  10. If desired, peel the cucumbers, cut into two parts, each cut into slices 2-3 mm thick.
  11. Simmer the cucumbers in a small amount of broth (over low heat, covered, 10 minutes).
  12. Boiled meat, sausages, sausages, boiled or smoked pork, etc. cut into thin slices or strips.
  13. Put the meat products in the finished broth along with fried onions, add cucumbers, bay leaves and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  14. Then add the boiled potatoes and stir.
  15. Homemade solyanka is ready!
  16. When serving, add sour cream, little chopped herbs, if any, a slice of lemon, a few olives or capers to each serving
