  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g almonds, round
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 teaspoons speculoos spice
  • 2 handfuls almond flakes

Instructions

  1. Finely chop or puree the soft dates with the egg in a powerful food processor. Add the butter and mix everything into a smooth mass. Stir in the spice and the ground almonds. Add the flour and mix everything well. Chill the dough in a freezer bag for at least 1 hour.
  2. Then roll out the dough and cut out.
  3. If you want flaked almonds on the back, you can spread them on the baking sheet lined with baking paper, place the biscuits on top and press them down lightly. Bake the biscuits in the oven preheated to 170 ° C for 10 minutes on the middle rack, one tray at a time.
  4. Traditionally, the pastries are thin (approx. 4 mm) and crispy. For a soft consistency, the dough can also be processed 7 mm thick and also only bake for 10 minutes.
