From bright carrots and an equally bright set of spices, you can prepare an interesting snack – carrot chips! Chips are obtained with a pleasant spicy taste and are in perfect harmony with sour cream-mustard sauce!
Prepare the food you need. Preheat oven to 80-90 degrees.
Rinse the carrots, peel and cut with a sharp knife or a special shredder into thin circles.
Pour olive oil over the carrot circles, sprinkle with salt and aromatic spices.
Stir the carrot circles so that they are completely covered with the fragrant oil. It is best to do this with your hands.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the carrot circles in one layer. You can spread it close to each other, even end-to-end, since the circles subsequently greatly decrease in volume.
Place the prepared carrots in the oven, preheated to 80-90 degrees, for 1 hour or more (depending on the thickness of the carrot circles) until the desired degree of dryness. Ideally, the chips should be crispy and brittle. Dry, but soft, like dried – these chips are no less good.
For serving carrot chips, prepare the creamy mustard sauce. Combine sour cream and mustard in a 1: 1 ratio.
Add a pinch of salt and stir. It is better to store the prepared sauce before serving in the refrigerator.
Remove the prepared carrot chips from the baking sheet and serve with the sour cream sauce.
