Ingredients

  • 1 liter water
  • 2 teaspoon tea, black (BOP)
  • 0.5 stick ½ cinnamon, (Ceylon cinnamon)
  • 3 cardamom pods, green
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 2 teaspoons, leveled vanilla extract
  • 1 slice / s lemon (s), untreated, alternatively teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to the boil and add the honey, lemon and vanilla extract. Then collect all the remaining ingredients in a bowl and add to the boiling water. Let it boil for 5 minutes, pass through a fine sieve into a jug.
  2. Remarks:
  3. Originally it is drunk with a few tablespoons of sugar, but I like 1 tablespoon honey better.
  4. Also works wonderfully as an iced tea.
  5. If you like cardamom, you can cut the capsules once for a more intense flavor.
  6. It is essential to use Ceylon cinnamon sticks (you can recognize them by the many fine layers on top of each other, instead of just one thick rolled plate. With very thick cinnamon sticks, 1/4 stick to 1 l of water is sufficient.
  7. High-quality tea is recommended for this (a coarse BOB, by no means finer).
