  • 6 medium onion (s), red
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 4 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot red wine
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the peeled onions lengthways into eighths and fry them lightly in the oil. Add the freshly squeezed clove of garlic (alternatively also granules) and deglaze with a dash of wine and the balsamic vinegar. Add pepper, salt and honey (alternatively sugar) as desired and season to taste.
  2. Let it steep overnight and a delicious onion salad is ready, which tastes best with grilled meat.
