Instructions

  1. For the cake batter, stir 200 g margarine or butter, 200 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar with the hand mixer until the sugar has dissolved. Add the eggs one after the other. Mix and stir in 300 g flour and baking powder. Spread the dough on a greased baking sheet.
  2. Wash the strawberries, pat dry, clean and quarter. Distribute evenly on the dough. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Knead the rest of the flour with the rest of the margarine, 100 g of sugar and vanilla sugar to make coarse crumbles and spread over the strawberries.
  3. Bake the cake in the oven on the middle rack at 180 ° C for about 35 - 40 minutes. Take the strawberry crumble cake out of the oven, let it cool down a bit and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Whipped cream tastes good with it.
