  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 3 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 200 g herbal cream cheese
  • 48 Bacon for breakfast, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix the minced meat with the eggs, breadcrumbs, chopped onions and the spices and form six balls. Make a well in each of the balls and fill with a good 1 teaspoon of herbal cream cheese. Then close the ball over the cream cheese.
  2. Eight strips of bacon are required for one turtle. These strips of bacon have to be interwoven into four horizontal and four vertical strips so that the appearance of a turtle shell is created.
  3. The minced meat ball is placed in the middle of the bacon woven carpet and enclosed by the bacon. Then three small sausages are needed. Two of them are cut in half.
  4. The whole sausage is inserted into the body as a head and the half sausages as arms and legs. So that the sausages can be better inserted, a small hole should be made in the bacon with a knife.
  5. Cook the finished turtles in the oven on a baking sheet at 200 ° C for about 45 minutes. The turtles can also be cooked in a smoker.
