Cake “Turtle”

A beautiful cake, similar to the shell of a turtle, turns out to be spotty not only on the outside. The chocolate circles “penetrated” into the soft cakes, connected with tender sour cream.

Ingredients

For cakes:

  • Eggs – 6 pcs.
  • Sugar – 1 glass
  • Flour – 2 cups (no slide)
  • Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder – 20 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 15 g
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp.

For the cream:

  • Sour cream 20% – 700 g
  • Sugar – 1.5 cups
  • Thickener for cream – 15 g

For decoration:

  • Dark chocolate – 50 g
  • Walnuts – 70 g

Directions

  1. Whisk vanilla sugar and regular sugar with eggs until stiff.
    Add baking powder, pour in the oil. Beat everything again.
  2. Add flour in small portions through a sieve, each time slowly stirring the dough with a spoon so that it retains its airiness.
  3. Set aside 6 tablespoon. tablespoons of dough in a separate bowl and mix with cocoa until the lumps disappear.
  4. Cover the mold (diameter 26 cm) with parchment, layout the third part of the white dough. Put several islets of chocolate dough on it using a teaspoon.
    Place the dough pan in a preheated oven. The spotted cake will be baked at 190-200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. You need to make 2 more such cakes.
  5. Prepare products for cream and cake decorating.
  6. Whisk the sour cream, thickener, and sugar together. Put the resulting sour cream in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, and in the meantime, grate the chocolate on a fine grater.
  7. The finished cakes should cool.
  8. When the cakes are cool, distribute the thickened sour cream between them.
    Spoon chocolate on top of the crust with a spoon, imitating a turtle shell. Decorate the sides of the cake with nuts.
  9. Cake “Turtle” is ready. In the context of a chocolate sponge cake with sour cream, it looks very attractive.
