Ingredients

  • g 1,000 turnip (s), peeled, diced
  • 1 medium onion (s), chopped
  • 2 tablespoon lard
  • 250 ml meat stock, instant
  • 125 ml cream
  • 3 tablespoon, leveled cornstarch
  • salt
  • White pepper from the mill
  • 2 tablespoon parsley, smooth, chopped (or more)

Instructions

  1. Heat the lard and sauté the onion until translucent, pour the meat stock on top, add the turnip cubes, bring to the boil and cook covered for approx. 25-30 minutes over low heat. Whisk the cornstarch in the cream and bind the vegetables with it. Season with salt and pepper and serve sprinkled with parsley.
  2. Serve with bratwurst and boiled potatoes.
