Ingredients

  • 2 steak (s) (T-bone steaks, from a trusted butcher, approx. 300 g each)
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 bunch herbs, mixed the season (alternatively frozen, 8 herbs)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 1 chilli pepper (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 100 ml olive oil, good
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly honey

Instructions

  1. Chop the herbs, garlic, chilli and onion and place in a tall blender jar, fill up with soy sauce and olive oil and puree finely with the blender. Season the mixture with pepper, salt and, if you like, a teaspoon of honey. Marinate the T-bone steaks in it overnight, best in a freezer bag, each steak in a bag, not together.
  2. After marinating, take the steaks out of the bag and let them drain (do not wash off !!). Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Let a pan (if possible a steak or grill pan) get very hot. Fry the steaks very hot on both sides in a little olive oil for about 2 minutes. Then put the steaks in the oven, depending on the taste and size of the steaks for about 5 - 10 minutes (English to well done). Serve on warmed plates.
  3. Baked potatoes with sour cream or simply fresh baguette and salad go well as side dishes.
