Tartlets with Sausage, Onion and Mustard

Quick-to-prepare puff pastry tartlets with smoked sausage and caramelized onions are delicious. And the mustard Maheev “Russian” will make them even tastier.

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 300 g
  • Smoked sausage – 150 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Mustard Maheev “Russian” – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley – 5 g

How to make sausage, onion and mustard tartlets:

Directions

  1. With the number of tartlets, decide for yourself: you can make either 6 large, 12 medium, or 24 tiny, for one bite. I will have large tartlets for 1 serving, so I will cut the dough into 6 equal squares.
  2. To prepare the tartlets, we will use muffin or muffin tins. We spread the dough squares in the molds so that we get tartlet baskets.
  3. Cut the smoked sausage into thin slices or semicircles.
  4. We distribute the sausage on the tartlets. We send the form with puff pastry tartlets with sausage to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the caramelized onions. Cut the onion (not necessarily red) into thin rings.
  6. Fry the onions in a dry frying pan, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown, but not burnt!
  7. Add sugar to the onion, cook for a couple of minutes. During this time, the onion will let the juice out, the sugar will warm up and make our onion caramelized.
  8. We take out the finished puff tartlets with sausage from the oven. Add 0.5 teaspoon on top. mustard Maheev “Russian”.
  9. Then carefully spread the caramelized onions on top of the mustard.
  10. Finely chop the parsley.
  11. Decorate the tartlets with smoked sausage, caramelized onions and mustard with parsley.
  12. We remove the tartlets from the molds and serve. Tartlets with sausage and mustard are delicious, satisfying, aromatic and very beautiful!
