Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 125 g butter
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 150 grams flour
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • Milk, for brushing
  • Sugar, granulated sugar for sprinkling

For the filling:

  • 75 g peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  1. Process the flour, butter, sugar, egg and lemon peel into a smooth shortcrust pastry. Wrap in foil and put in the fridge for about 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry thinly and cut out about 50 cookies of approx. 4 cm.
  3. Spread on two baking sheets lined with baking paper.
  4. Spread milk on the cookies. Sprinkle hail sugar on half of the thalers.
  5. Bake at 175 ° C for about 12 minutes.
  6. Mix the peanut cream with honey, spread on the empty cookies and put together.
