  • 4 mango (s), ripe
  • 2 lime (s)
  • ginger, fresh
  • Lemon balm, fresh
  • pepper
  • 4 port. Ice cream, vanilla

Vanilla Ice Cream with Mango – Ginger Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the mango pulp into small squares. Finely grate the fresh ginger (amount to taste). Squeeze the limes and pour the juice into a small saucepan. Add the ginger and about a third to half of the mango quarters and let them warm up. When the mango pieces are warm (softer), puree with a stick, pepper to taste. Then add a little lemon balm and stir. Portion the vanilla ice cream into small bowls, first distribute the warm pulp and then the remaining mango quarters on top.
  2. Tastes wonderful and is a nice mix between sweet and hot (depends of course on the amount of ginger).
