Ingredients

  • 250 g flour, type 405
  • 175 g butter
  • 5 tablespoon sour cream
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar, (Bourbon vanilla) or 1/ vanilla pod and 1 teaspoon sugar
  • some milk, for brushing
  • Granulated sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour on the baking board, make a well in the middle, add the sour cream and vanilla sugar and work with some of the flour to form a dough. Spread the butter cut into pieces on top, cover with flour and work everything into a smooth dough. Roll out the dough several times, fold it up again and roll it out again. If it sticks, put it in the refrigerator for about half an hour.
  2. Roll out the dough about 1/2 cm thick and cut out rings with two glasses of different sizes (asterisks also look very pretty). Brush the rings with milk and squeeze in the sugar.
  3. Bake at approx. 200 ° C for about 10 - 12 minutes until light yellow.
