Ingredients

  • 200 g smoked tofu
  • 2 onion (s), red
  • 1 green pepper (s)
  • 1 red pepper (s)

For the marinade:

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder, smoked
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. First soak 6 wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Dice the tofu and mix with the marinade until all the pieces are covered with it. Pre-cook in a hot oven at 200 ° C top / bottom heat for 10 minutes. Turn once halfway through.
  3. Alternatively, the tofu can be pre-cooked for 10 minutes under the grill of the microwave.
  4. In the meantime, dice the remaining vegetables. As soon as the tofu is ready, skewer alternately onion, bell pepper and tofu. Finally, brush the finished skewers again with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill on the grill for about 10 minutes, until the vegetables are cooked through and the tofu is crispy on the outside.
