Corn waffles must be prepared with the addition of wheat flour and a lot of oil. It is then that they will be moderately crispy, amaze with their property of melting in the mouth. The plum filling is very suitable for such waffle bases because its sourness and bright plum taste will not be superfluous in this dessert dish.
Ingredients
Wheat flour – 160 g
Corn flour (finely ground) – 170 g
Salt – 2 g
Vanillin – 1 g
Plums – 200-300 g
Curd dessert without additives
Vegetable oil – 50 ml
Butter (or margarine) – 120 g
Eggs – 2 pcs.
Carrots – 75 g
Sugar – 75 g
Milk – 300 ml
Mint – for decoration
Directions
We mix corn and wheat flour.
Add melted butter. (It is easy to melt it in the oven at 50 degrees.)
Pour in vegetable oil. We mix.
Add milk and mix everything together with a whisk until a liquid dough piece is obtained.
We drive in eggs and add sugar (2 tablespoons). Pour in salt and vanillin.
Beat with a whisk again.
Now grate the carrots very finely and add them to the dough. This will make the waffles brighter and healthier.
Mix – and the waffle batter is ready.
Melt a piece of butter in a frying pan.
Add sugar to the melted butter.
With a constant stirring of this mass, add plum slices. Stir a couple of times until our plums are shiny, covered with caramel film.
We fry our waffles one by one on the surface of the waffle iron. If it is necessary to roll them into tubes, then we do it right away, otherwise then these crispy waffles will break.
Put plum slices inside the waffle folded in half, you can add a little curd dessert.
Wafers stuffed with plums are ready!
Waffles with plums can be served immediately after cooking. Garnish with fresh mint before serving the waffles with plum filling.
