Waffles with Strawberries

Waffles are a favorite dessert for both adults and children. Crispy waffles can be quite a dietary delicacy; it is enough to replace butter in the dough with low-fat kefir. We suggest making waffles with strawberries and filling the wafer rolls with custard with aromatic berries and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • Kefir – 1 glass
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Flour – 150 g (1 cup)
  • Soda – 1 teaspoon (not full)
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Milk – 400 g
  • Sugar – 0.75 cups
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 200 g
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Fresh strawberries – 1 glass
  • Chocolate chips – 60 g

Directions

  1. First, prepare the custard. To do this, stir eggs, flour, sugar, and salt with a whisk. You don’t need to use vanilla for this recipe because it will overwhelm the flavor and aroma of fresh strawberries.
  2. Gradually pour milk into the mass, beat again, and put on low heat.
  3. Stirring constantly, bring the thickening mass to a boil and dissolve the butter in it.
    When the butter has completely melted, mix the cream well, remove from heat. When the cream has cooled enough, put it in the refrigerator.
  4. Preparing the waffle dough. Beat eggs and sugar.
  5. Add kefir, soda and mix with a spoon.
  6. Sift the flour, combine it with the dough with a spoon. The finished dough should be the consistency of liquid sour cream.
  7. We bake the waffles in a well-heated electric waffle iron, spreading out 1 tablespoon of dough.
    While the waffles are hot, twist them in the shape of a horn.
  8. From the specified amount of ingredients, you should get about 40 waffles.
  9. We take out the cream from the refrigerator, mix thoroughly. Then carefully combine with fresh strawberries and chocolate chips.
  10. Using a spoon, fill the waffles with cream.
  11. Waffles with strawberries and chocolate are ready.
