Heat the milk, water and butter lukewarm in a saucepan. In a large bowl, mix almost half of the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add the water, milk and egg. Mix well with a mixer with a dough hook.
Gradually add the rest of the flour, kneading further. When the dough comes off the edge of the bowl, place it on a lightly floured work surface and knead with your hands for about 8 minutes until it is elastic.
Divide the dough into 12 equal parts and shape into cylinders, flatten a little with your hand. Place on a greased baking sheet, cover with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (top / bottom heat). After the rising time, put the buns in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until they are golden brown.
This batter can also be used to make hamburger buns. Then divide the dough into 12 equal parts and shape into balls. Place on a greased baking sheet and pat it flat with your hand.
Cover with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes. After the walking time, put the buns in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
