Ingredients

  • 1 kg apples, sour, e.g. Boskopp
  • 200 g suar
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 large lemon (s), juice and zest it
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 150 g ricotta
  • 3 egg (s)
  • some butter for the pan
  • some almond (s), ground OR:
  • Breadcrumbs, for the mold

Instructions

  1. Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut in the apple quarter at the top and drizzle with lemon juice.
  2. Mix the sugar, butter and the grated lemon zest until creamy. Then stir in the eggs and the flour mixed with baking powder and finally the ricotta into the mixture.
  3. Pour the finished dough into a greased springform pan, sprinkled with ground almonds if possible - then press the apple pieces (quarters) tightly into the dough.
  4. Bake at 180 ° for about 60 minutes.
  5. Danger! Do not forget the so-called chopstick test.
