Ingredients

  • 2 packs pudding powder, vanilla flavor
  • 200 g sour cream or sour cream
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 450 ml milk
  • 6 large apples, sour ones (e.g. Braeburn or Boskop)
  • 125 g rusks
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 50 g almond (s), flakes

Instructions

  1. Whisk the sour cream, custard powder, 125 g sugar, vanilla sugar, milk and eggs together well.
  2. Roughly crumble the rusks and place - except for a handful of breadcrumbs - in a greased baking dish.
  3. Peel, core and roughly dice the apples. Spread on the rusks. Pour the sour cream, egg and vanilla milk over the top and bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat) for about 45 minutes until the egg mixture has hardened.
  4. In the meantime, mix the remaining crumbs with 25 g sugar, the cinnamon and the flaked almonds. Spread on the casserole (if you like, you can put a few more flakes of butter on it) and bake for another 10 minutes, until the almonds are golden brown.
  5. Serve hot or cold with vanilla sauce.
  6. Sufficient for at least 8 people as a dessert or for 4 people as a sweet main course.
