Instructions

  1. Prepare a yeast dough from the first 4 ingredients and leave to rise overnight in the refrigerator - ideally put in a plastic bowl with a lid.
  2. The next morning, knead the dough again and let it rise again at room temperature. Then divide into 3 portions and form sticks out of each. Score the bars with a knife. Mix the egg white with 6 tablespoons of water and brush the sticks with it. Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 225 ° C and place the baguettes in the preheated oven. At the same time pour 1/8 liter of hot water onto the bottom of the oven. Do not open the oven door any more. Bake on the 2nd rail from the bottom for approx. 15-20 minutes.
  4. The baguettes are not as big as the ones you bought, but very tasty!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
