Ingredients

  • 4 steak (s) from the ostrich, á 180 - 200 g
  • 100 g olives reen or black, dependin on your taste
  • 1 medium tomato (s)
  • 1 small bell pepper (s)
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 1 shallot (s) or onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Parsley, smooth
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g mozzarella
  • 4 slices toast
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • chives
  • Oil (olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Fry the ostrich steaks briefly on both sides in olive oil. Transfer the steaks from the pan to a baking dish. In the same pan, sauté the diced onion and garlic. Dice peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms and let them sweat with them. Also dice the mozzarella and add to it, mix with the creme fraiche, add the herbs and season with salt and pepper. Tie the mixture with the toast cut into cubes (without rind) and pour over the steaks.
  2. Bake the whole thing in the oven at approx. 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. This goes well with wild rice, a light red wine jus and a good red wine.
