Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, wash the tomatoes, cut off the lid from each fruit. Scrape out the stones and pulp, roughly chop and set aside.
  2. Cut the tomatoes straight at the bottom, place in a baking dish greased with 2 tablespoons of oil. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, fry both briefly in 1 tablespoon of oil. Stir in the chopped tomato pulp, season with salt and pepper. Finely dice the cheese and add.
  3. Pour the mixture into the tomatoes, season with herb salt, pepper and red pepper. Bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. Garnish with thyme if desired. I serve with baked potatoes, steak and garlic dip.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
