Ingredients

  • 2 tortilla (s) (flour tortillas), approx. 3 cm in size
  • Oil, for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion (s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), finely chopped
  • 1 can (s) white beans in tomato sauce (baked beans), coarsely mashed
  • 250 ml sauce (salsa), thick, chunky
  • 80 g cheese, rated, cheddar or oude

Instructions

  1. Quarter the tortillas and cut each part into three triangles.
  2. Heat the oil (finger high) in a pan and bake the tortillas for 30 seconds on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. For the sauce, heat the oil in a pan, sweat the onions, garlic and chilli peppers for 3 minutes over medium heat until the onions are soft. Add the beans, salsa and let simmer briefly.
  4. Spread the triangles on a baking tray, pour the sauce on each and sprinkle with cheese. Grill under the grill for about 1 minute until the cheese has melted.
