Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered suar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 280 g flour
  • 1 orange (s), untreated
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch (s) clove (s), ground
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • 100 g couverture
  • 20 g pistachios, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter, powdered sugar and salt thoroughly, add the egg yolks, then knead with the flour. Rub the orange peel.
  2. Halve the dough, work the orange peel into one half and the cocoa, cinnamon and cloves into the other. Chill the dough halves for a few hours.
  3. Roll out each half of the dough in a rectangular shape (approx. 25 x 25 cm). Brush the light dough with lightly beaten egg white, place the dark dough on top and press lightly.
  4. First cut the dough into squares, then into triangles.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 15 minutes.
  6. After cooling, coat the surfaces with liquid couverture and cover with the chopped pistachios.
