Instructions

  1. Cut the apple and the onion into cubes about the same size. Heat both together with the barberries and a dash of water in a small saucepan to bring to the boil. Season to taste with ginger, curry, sugar, salt and pepper.
  2. Now steam everything for about 20 minutes. Stir in between! Put the resulting mass through a sieve or mix in a blender.
  3. Pour the hot chutney into a screw-top jar and turn it upside down and let it cool down.
  4. Tastes good in combination with game as an alternative to lingonberries.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
