Coconut Chutney

Chutney is an Indian sauce that complements the flavor of the main course. It is prepared on the basis of vegetables or fruits, which are mixed with various bright spices.

Ingredients

  • Coconut – 1 Piece
  • Fresh ginger – 15 grams
  • Salt – To taste
  • Garlic – 1 Clove
  • Lemon – 1 Piece
  • Cilantro – 1 Bunch

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Break the coconut, separate the flesh from the shell. Cut into slices suitable for chopping. Peel a piece of ginger.
  3. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon. In a blender, grind the cilantro, garlic, ginger, and coconut along with the lemon juice.
  4. Salt the chutney, add some liquid (coconut or plain water) to the desired consistency. I prefer thinner chutney.
