Ingredients

  • 200 ml soy sauce
  • 200 ml ketchup
  • 200 ml honey or maple syrup, depending on your taste
  • 200 g suar, brown
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons chilli, coarsely ground
  • 600 ml orange juice 100% with pulp

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil until the marinade becomes thick. Let cool down. Then finely chop or puree with the hand blender or in the food processor.
  2. Soak the pieces of meat for at least 3 hours, the longer the more flavorful. Thickened or reduced, the marinade can also be used as a sauce.
  3. The sauce can be kept in the refrigerator for about 1 week or you can freeze it.
