Ingredients

  • 1 can kidney beans, (400 g)
  • 8 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 2 carrot (s)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • Olive oil, for frying
  • Salt and pepper
  • some vegetable stock, instant
  • possibly parsley
  • possibly flour
  • possibly spice (s), to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onions and garlic and grate the carrots. Lightly fry everything in a pan.
  2. Put the kidney beans in a container and mash them with a fork. There may be a few coarse pieces of beans left over, depending on your taste.
  3. Add the fried vegetables and season with pepper, salt, a little vegetable stock powder and the other spices and mix with the beans. Add oatmeal to thicken it so that it becomes a little firmer. Optionally, a little flour can also be added to make the whole thing even firmer.
  4. Bake the dough in oil in portions.
  5. The ingredients are sufficient for approx. 8-10 burger patties.
  6. Suggestion: the bean patties can be placed on a burger bun together with salad and other ingredients and a balsamic mustard sauce - and the bean burger is ready.
