Instructions

  1. First of all, I have to say that all quantities are to be understood as guidelines only. You can take more or less meat, more or less bones, etc.
  2. Bring about 2 liters of water to a boil in a saucepan or in a kettle. Heat some oil in a large saucepan and fry the large chopped vegetables, bones and onions a little. Then add the boiling water and add 2 teaspoons of salt, the bay leaf and the peppercorns. When this soup boils, add the meat whole. The meat must be completely covered with water. Add the soup cubes and simmer for about 1.5 hours on a low flame with a lid.
  3. Remove the meat, filter the soup through a sieve and put the finely chopped meat back into the soup. Dispose of the cooked vegetables, or maybe someone in the family might like them. Or you can leave it in the soup.
  4. The wonderful beef soup can then be refined either with white bread or soup noodles, fries, liver dumplings or with new vegetables.
