Ingredients

  • 120 g bacon, mixed, finely diced
  • 300 g rolls, stale, diced
  • 1 bunch parsley, smooth, chopped
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 50 g butter
  • 250 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pan. Sweat the bacon and onions in it, add the parsley and mix everything with the diced bread rolls in a bowl.
  2. Separate eggs. Beat the egg yolks and milk, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and pour over the bread roll mixture.
  3. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and fold carefully into the mixture.
  4. Put the dough in buttered muffin tins and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes.
  5. Goes well as a side dish e.g. for roasting.
