Brownie (Two Options – Classic and Vegan)

Today there will be two recipes for one dish – the most chocolate and delicious brownie. I will bake vegan and classic chocolate brownies in the same form.

Ingredients

  • For the vegetarian brownie:
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Brown sugar – 50 g
  • Cocoa powder – 25 g
  • Flour – 50 g
  • Water – 50 ml
  • Chocolate 75% – 50 g
  • Vegetable oil – 40 g
  • Baking powder – 0.5 teaspoon.

  • For a traditional brownie:
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Brown sugar – 100 g
  • Cocoa powder – 25 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Flour – 50 g
  • Chocolate 75% – 50 g
  • Baking powder – 0.5 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. First, mix all the dry ingredients – brown and regular sugar, cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt. Then we add liquid ingredients – vegetable oil and water. We mix everything.
  2. Three chocolates on a grater (take the darkest, with a high cocoa content – from 75%, you should also like it to taste). (Chocolate can be chopped with a knife, also to small crumbs – as you like.) Add chocolate to the cooked mass.
  3. Stir and spread in a square or rectangular shape, covered with parchment paper or foil. (The dough turned out to be dense, but I think if I melted the chocolate, the dough would be thinner.)
  4. Now let’s get down to a more traditional brownie variation. The amount of sugar, cocoa, flour and chocolate is the same here as in the first version.
  5. Let’s break the chocolate and send it along with the butter to a water bath. Melt and mix in a ladle until smooth.
  6. In the meantime, you need to beat the egg and sugar.
    (For this variation, I only used brown sugar.)
  7. Pour melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture.
  8. We sift all dry ingredients – cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt. And we combine it with chocolate mass.
  9. We send both brownies to bake in an oven preheated to 160 degrees for 25-30 minutes. (The time depends on the thickness of the dough. The brownie should be about 2 cm high.)
  10. We take the brownies out of the molds, otherwise the brownies will continue to cook in them. And let it cool (I waited half an hour). So, a real brownie should be crispy and moist in the middle.
