Bruschetta with Cherry Tomatoes and Mozzarella

Hot appetizer – bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella has become a very frequent guest on my holiday tables. We are great admirers of Italian cuisine and we know that Italy is famous not only for pizza and pasta but also for all kinds of snacks on bread, the most popular of which are crostini and bruschetta.

Ingredients

  • Cherry tomatoes – 300 g
  • Baton (ciabatta) – 500 g
  • Balsamic glaze – 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Provencal herbs – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Mozzarella – 100 g
  • Basil – 20 g

Directions

  1. First of all, cut the baguette into portions across and then in half lengthwise, pour plenty of olive oil on the pulp of the bread. Let’s send the bread to an oven preheated to 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes, you can grill it.
  2. While the bread is browning, prepare everything for topping. To do this, cut the cherry tomatoes smaller, you can into four parts. Pour the 1 teaspoon. olive oil. Add salt and a mixture of Provencal herbs. Add balsamic glaze and mix all ingredients well.
  3. First, spread the sliced Mozzarella cheese on the toasted pieces of bread. If you have cheese in small balls, simply cut it in half.
  4. After that, we distribute the cherry tomatoes. We send the bruschetta back to the oven for 10 minutes to soften the tomatoes and melt the cheese.
  5. Serve hot bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
