Canapes with Cheese, Olives and Vegetables (on Skewers)

If you need to prepare a delicious appetizer for a buffet table in a matter of minutes, then canapes with cheese, olives, cucumbers, and peppers are just that option. Canapes according to this recipe are prepared on skewers.

Ingredients

  • Bulgarian red pepper – 100 g (0.5 pcs.)
  • Bulgarian pepper yellow or green – 100 g (0.5 pcs.)
  • Cucumber – 100 g
  • Soft cheese with white mold (brie or camembert) – 100 g
  • Blue cheese (dorblu) – 100 g
  • Green and/or black olives without pits – 170 g
  • Romaine lettuce – for serving

Directions

  1. Peel the bell pepper from seeds and membranes and cut into small cubes, “for one bite.” Cut the cucumber into cubes too; if the skin is tough or bitter, remove it. Cut the cheeses into small cubes with a sharp knife.
  2. We begin to form the canapes. On a sharp skewer or ordinary wooden toothpick, prick an olive, a slice of cheese, and a cube of sweet pepper. The second option is another cheese and cucumber instead of pepper. But there are no rules here, combine as you like, it’s delicious in any variation.
  3. Place all the canapes on a nice plate lined with fresh lettuce leaves. I have this salad romaine.
  4. Serve canapes as an appetizer to your festive table, and your guests will undoubtedly appreciate this delicious, beautiful, and convenient treat. There is nothing better for gatherings with friends over a bottle of dry white wine.
