Canape with Sausage and Cheese

Easy to prepare, beautiful, delicious festive appetizer for the family New Year’s menu – sausage and cheese canapés.

Servings: 9

Ingredients

  • White bread (like a baguette) – 150 g
  • Dried sausage (sliced) – 80 g
  • Cucumber (large) – 1 pc.
  • Tomatoes (small) – 2-3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese or toast – 50 g
  • Pitted olives – 10 pcs.

Directions

  1. For canapés, prepare the food listed. Wash the cucumber and tomatoes, pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the bread into 1 centimeter thick slices.
  3. Place the bread in a baking dish and dry until toasted.
  4. Cut the olives in half, grate the cucumber on a special grater or cut into thin slices with a vegetable peeler.
  5. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
  6. Cut the cheese into thin slices or cut a circle out of it using a glass, the same dia as the bread.
  7. Remove the croutons from the oven and cool. Place a slice of cheese on top of the canapé croutons. (If you are not afraid of extra calories, you can grease the toast with a drop of mayonnaise.)
  8. Place a circle of tomato on top of the cheese.
  9. Put half an olive on a skewer.
  10. Next, you need to string a slice of cucumber in the form of a wave on a skewer.
  11. After the cucumber, chop the sausage onto the canape skewer.
  12. A skewer with vegetables and sausage should be stuck into a toast with tomato and cheese – and you can serve bright, festive canapes with sausage, cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes to the table.
