Canape with Herring

Delicious, beautiful canapes with herring. It seems that herring rolls are difficult to prepare, but in fact, everything is very simple.

Ingredients

  • S / s herring – 1 pc.
  • Processed cheese (“Amber”) – 100 g
  • Pickled mushrooms (champignons) – 50 g
  • Dill greens – 1 tbsp chopped + herbs for decoration
  • Black bread – about 8 slices
  • Tomato (for decoration) – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Disassemble the herring into fillets. Put the cheese to warm to room temperature. Finely chop the mushrooms. Chop the dill, leave a few branches for decoration.
  2. We spread the herring fillet on cling film with the backdown, jack. Cover with foil and lightly beat the fillets. It should be approximately the same thickness. Lubricate the herring fillet with melted cheese (leave a little for the croutons). Sprinkle with pickled mushrooms. Sprinkle with dill.
  3. Using the cling film, roll the herring into a roll, carefully so that the halves do not part, as the herring is greasy and slips on the film. We wrap the herring roll in several layers of cling film, forming around the sausage. Put in the freezer for 2 hours.
  4. While the herring roll freezes, prepare the croutons for the canapes. Cut the bread into slices 1 cm thick, then cut out the circles using a glass with thin walls. (You can also cut the crust and cut the bread into squares.) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the bread on the wire rack, leave it in the oven for 6 minutes. Then turn off the oven and leave for 2 minutes. The croutons should have a thin crust, do not overdry.
  5. Cut the frozen herring roll with a sharp knife into slices 1 cm thick.
  6. Put a little cheese mass on the croutons. Put the rolls on top.
  7. Decorate the canapes with a slice of tomato and a sprig of dill. Let the herring canapes stand for 10 minutes and eat.
