Carrot Toast

I present a recipe for a very original and very satisfying snack for a quick hand, which is very convenient to take with you on a trip or to the country. Carrot toast is especially good for those who are fasting.

Ingredients

  • Bread – 10 Slices
  • Carrots – 2 Pieces
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Bulgarian pepper – 1 Piece
  • Ketchup – 2 Teaspoons
  • Turmeric – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Hard cheese – 50 grams
  • Vegetable oil – 2-3 Teaspoons
  • Salt, pepper – To taste

Directions

  1. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, fry finely chopped carrots, onions and bell peppers until soft.
  2. Add ketchup, turmeric and cumin to the vegetable mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir.
  3. Toast the toast on both sides until golden brown.
  4. Spread the carrot filling evenly between the two slices of toast, enjoy a light snack.
