Sprat paste made from cottage cheese and canned fish goes well with pieces of hard cheese. Pickled cucumbers give the appetizer a spicy taste and elegant look.
Ingredients
Sprats – 50 g
Hard cheese – 150 g
Cream cheese (or regular cottage cheese) – 100 g
Butter, softened (optional) – 25 g
Pickled cucumbers (pickles) – 1-2 pcs.
Watercress – for decoration
Directions
We prepare products.
Put sprats and curd mass in a bowl.
Grind sprats and cottage cheese with cream (or ordinary cottage cheese, with which you can add a little butter) until smooth. For this we can use a blender or fork.
We cut the hard cheese into pieces approximately 2.5×3.5 cm in size.
We spread curd-sprat pate on a piece of cheese.
Cover with the second slice of hard cheese. We make a ball of pate and decorate the canapes.
At the next stage, put a thin piece of pickled cucumber and a sprig of watercress on a snack. Greens can be replaced with a leaf of mint, basil, or a sprig of dill.
We repeat the whole process with other cheese canapes with sprats and cottage cheese.
