Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry, (275g)
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ tomato paste
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 100 g cheese, Emmentaler, rated
  • 1 pinch (s) sea salt, from the salt mill
  • some cumin
  • Paprika powder
  • oregano

Instructions

  1. Cut the puff pastry into 12 even pieces. Whisk the egg yolks and milk together, add some of them and brush with the tomato paste. Spread the Emmentaler evenly on top.
  2. Roll up into sticks. Brush with the remaining egg yolk, sprinkle with sea salt, caraway seeds, paprika powder and oregano as desired.
  3. Place the sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees (depending on the oven) for 8 - 12 minutes.
