Chicken Kebab in Gooseberry Marinade

Aromatic chicken skewers marinated with gooseberry berries. An unusual combination of ingredients provides a unique and unforgettable taste of chicken kebab.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 2 pcs. (900 g)
  • Gooseberry – 150 g
  • Parsley greens – 0.5 bunch
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar (or lemon juice) – 1 tbsp
  • Spices (of your choice) – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 2 teaspoon (to taste)

Directions

  1. Wash the gooseberries, sort and place in a blender bowl. Beat the berries with a blender for 5 minutes.
  2. Wash the chicken legs and cut into several portions. Then dry and place in a deep bowl.
  3. Coat the chicken on all sides with chopped gooseberries.
  4. Then add spices and salt to taste. Pour vegetable oil there.
  5. Add vinegar or lemon juice.
  6. Chop the parsley and add to the chicken. Stir and refrigerate for marinating for at least 2 hours.
  7. After that, the chicken can be baked in the oven, or you can make a fragrant barbecue in nature. Light up the coals. Skewer the chicken or place it on the grill rack for more convenience. Fry the kebab on the grill over hot coals without fire for 25-30 minutes. From time to time it is necessary to turn the kebab over so that it is evenly fried on all sides.
  8. Chicken shashlik marinated with gooseberry is ready.
  9. You can serve ready-made chicken skewers to the table.
